HOW TO DONATE

To make a donation you must be 18 years old.

It is possible to send up to a maximum of 5,000 euros.

To make the donation it is necessary to provide:

  • name, surname, e-mail and address of the person making the donation.
  • causal: one of those indicated in the available options.

Donations can be made by credit card of Visa and MasterCard circuits.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA PURSUANT TO REGULATION (EU) 2016/679

Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), we would like to inform you about the processing of personal data of users who visit the Foundation or consult its website www.fondazionegiovani.va. Below you will find the information on about how we collect, use and transfer your personal data, or rather, any information that can be used to identify or contact you.

CONTROLLER

The controller of the data is the John Paul II Foundation for Youth, based at Governatorato Palace, 00120 Vatican City, (+39 06 698 69 300 – fondazionegiovani@laityfamilylife.va).

LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING

Most of the information we collect comes directly from you: you provided them voluntarily or it has been found they were necessary for the provision of our services. The Foundation processes your personal data in different ways and according to different needs in order to carry out its role and ensure the management, the development and the improvement of the services offered.

We collect and process data for the following purposes:

  • The data processing is necessary to make donations to the Foundation;
  • You gave your explicit consent to process your data for special purposes (sending of communications);
  • Data are automatically provided during the web surfing on the website.

We use the data for the following reasons:

  • The production of statistical data for internal purposes, for checks, analysis and research aimed at improving the services offered.

In most cases the provision of data, which are used exclusively for the purposes listed above, is elective; however, the refusal to provide data and the absence of consent of their processing prevent the Foundation from performing a correct service.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED AND PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING

The data collected are processed by people expressly authorised by the Foundation, which act on the basis of specific instructions and in compliance with the confidentiality and security of the data and in relation to the services provided. Persons authorised to processing, employees of the Foundation, or third parties in charge of the maintenance and development services of the systems used for the computerised management of data, may become aware of the data only for purposes related to the exercise of their functions.

The processing of data takes place with computer systems or software procedures that acquire, during their normal operation, personal information whose transmission is implicit in the use of the Internet communication protocols.

The data processed include personal information that allows us to identify you, such as:

  • Name and surname
  • Mailing address
  • Email address
  • Information on the connection device (IP addresses or domain names of computers and terminals used by users, operating system or type of browser used)
  • Online surfing activities and habits (URI / URL addresses of resources visited, date and time and method used to submit the request to the server, file size obtained, status of the response given by the server and other parameters related to the operating system and to the user's It environment)

The Foundation tries to limit the use of this information as much as possible and undertakes to use it exclusively for the services for which it was provided.

Where possible, we use information that does not identify you individually (for example, for the collection of statistical data on our website surfing, we use services such as Google Analytics, which make your IP anonymous).

The data whose conservation is necessary for the correct provision of the services of the Foundation are stored in electronic and / or printed format.

The Foundation reserves the right to share personal data with the Vatican security authorities where necessary for the security or protection of people or goods.

Data related to the use of web services are also processed for the following purposes:

  • Obtaining statistical information on the use of services (most visited pages, number of visitors per hour or day, geographical areas of origin, etc.);
  • Checking the correct functioning of the services offered.

DATA RECIPIENTS

We do not disseminate or communicate the collected data to third parties, except for the purposes related to the shipment of the Scrolls, for which some data are transmitted to our supplier DHL Express Srl, which is the external Responsible for the processing.

COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING SYSTEMS

The Foundation uses session cookies (not persistent) strictly limited to what is necessary for the safe and efficient web surfing on the site.

SOCIAL MEDIA

The Foundation is not officially present on social platforms.

SAFEKEEPING AND CUSTODY OF THE DATA

The Foundation preserves the personal data collected, in an accurate, complete and updated way, as long as they are necessary for the provision of the services. We can guarantee that all the necessary steps have been taken to ensure the security of your personal data once they have been collected, through the use of limited access information systems and the use of protected storage solutions.

EXERCISE OF THE RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

You have the right to obtain from the Foundation, in the foreseen cases:

  • Copy of or access to your personal data;
  • Correction of your personal data if inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Erasure of your personal data when no longer necessary;
  • Suspension of communications sending for which you have previously given your consent.

Requests for copies, access, rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing of data must be submitted by contacting the Foundation (+39 06 698 69 300 – fondazionegiovani@laityfamilylife.va). We point out that we can refuse to respond to requests that we should consider futile, harmful to the privacy of others, difficult to meet or contrary to a legitimate use of data if aimed at ensuring the safety of people, environments or goods.

COOKIE POLICY

The following policy on cookies is prepared by the Foundation (Fondazione) to describe the types of cookies used on the site www.fondazionegiovani.va, which comprises every extension of that domain (the "Site") and its related platform, with the objective of stating the motives and the conditions of the use of the same. The optimal use of the Site or its Services goes with the use of some cookies meant for the user's device. Therefore, to proceed with navigation [on the Site] is an automatic authorization given to the Foundation to determine some of the appropriate cookies for use. However, it is possible to cancel and avoid the use of some specific types of cookies, as well-laid out in the browser configuration setting in the successive paragraph on "Disabling the Use of Cookies".

WHAT ARE COOKIES

Cookies are text files used for automatic authentications, tracking of sessions and keeping of specific information regarding users' access to the server of the Foundation. Therefore, they are actually strings of text, small in dimension, sent from the server of the Foundation to the web client (usually to a browser of the user) and then returned from the client's (browser) to the sever (without modifications), whenever the same section of the same web domain is accessed by the user. A cookie is, therefore, a little file which requests the user's permission to be remembered on the hard disk of the latter. Once consensus is reached on the stated modalities, the file is added subsequently; the cookie helps to analyse the user's web traffic, authorizing the knowledge of their visit to a particular internet site. In this way, the web application can rightly be adapted to the operational needs and/or likes of the user while memorizing and saving information pertinent to the user's preferences.

TYPES OF COOKIES, NATURE AND SCOPE OF COLLECTED DATA

The Foundation employs the following types of cookies:

  • Technical Cookies: These are those cookies necessary for the operation of the Site and for the supply of the services to the user.
  • Cookies C.D. (customer dimension) "Analytics": These enter the macro domain of technical cookies, used by the Foundation to statistically analyse access and/or visits to the Site and are exclusively installed for statistical reasons and/or collect information in a consolidated manner. Actually, the "Google Analytics" cookie is used on the Site for the reasons just stated.
  • Session Cookies: These are technical cookies sent from the server of the Office of Papal Charities to the user's terminal, and occasionally, from third party sites to track the use of the Site in a particular session. These cookies are generally stored on the user's browser for a session and expire when the browser is closed.
  • Persistent Cookies: They are constant cookies which continue to function even after the browser is closed. This facilitates a much easy and rapid access to the Site.
  • Functional Cookies: They permit the Site to remember the user's choices (user's name, language, country) and so help better personalized services.
  • Performance Cookies: They collect and analyse the pieces of information with the use of the Site by guests (pages visited, number of visits, the length of time at the Site, etc.), to enable a better navigation experience. Such cookies do not gather information which could identify the user. All data from these cookies are consolidated and consequently, are anonymously used to improve the Site's operation.
  • [First] Party Cookies: They are the cookies directly installed on the user's device by the Foundation in a way that makes efficient the operation of the Site and track the behavioural patterns of visitors on the Site. .
  • Third Party Cookies: These are the cookies installed by subsidiary companies connected to the Foundation on the Site. The Site can host in its browser notices, classified ads like publicity banners of other companies, who in turn install cookies. They can exclusively be used to keep user data, and on some occasions, within one or more websites.

THIRD PARTY COOKIES

The Foundation uses the following third party cookies:

  • The Donatio payment system which authorizes the giving of donations; such cookie is internally managed by the Internet Office of the Vatican.
  • The EPay online payment system which allows payment online; such cookie is managed by the Internet Office of the Vatican.

DISABLING COOKIES:

Most browsers are, for a start, configured automatically to accept cookies. It is possible, nonetheless, to modify these settings and block the use of cookies using the browser settings. The management of cookies come in varied forms. We do ask the user to turn to the help screen on their browser to find out about browser regulation and modification in the browser settings. Disabling the use of technical cookies and/or those operational ones can cause malfunctioning of the Site and/or limitation of services offered by the Foundation.
