Supporting L’Osservatore Romano means helping to spread the Pope’s words and the Magisterium of the Church throughout the world.
Established in 1861, the newspaper of the Holy See publishes information regarding the activities of the Pope: his addresses in various languages (and translated into English), reports on his journeys and, in the “Vatican Bulletin”, news of an official nature (such as appointments and audiences).
In addition to the pages dedicated to Vatican information, the newpaper’s structure provides a broad view of international information (which includes Italy), a cultural section and a section dedicated to Catholicism, to the various Christian confessions and to other religions.
Along with the daily edition in Italian, L’Osservatore Romano publishes periodicals in different languages: six weekly editions – in French, English (with a version translated into Malayalam, curated and disseminated in India), Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German – and a monthly edition in Polish, which are available throughout the world. The monthly “Women Church World” has also been published since 2012, and recently changed its layout, becoming a 40-page colour magazine available online in the various languages.
L’Osservatore Romano is responsible for the treatment of personal information, the handling of which is guaranteed to conform with the security measures in force.
